Will your ceiling fit a sim?

The most common pre-purchase blocker. Drag the slider to your ceiling height and get a plain answer — full driver swing, iron-only, or putting-only — plus the launch monitors, enclosures, and projectors that fit.

Your ceilingFull swing
9′108 inches
7'9'12'

Full driver swings work.

9 feet or more is the realistic minimum for full-swing setups. The driver can extend through impact without ceiling concerns for most golfers. Above 9'6" you also unlock overhead-mounted launch monitors for the cleanest install aesthetic.

Products that fit

The picks that meet your ceiling spec.

Filtered to products that explicitly support 9′ or less. 3 products excluded — including Falcon, C-Series DIY Enclosure (9x12, Premium screen)….

Launch monitors

  • Shot ScopeBudget
    LM1

A $200 radar that measures the five metrics most range golfers actually care about. Buy it if you want feedback at the range, not a simulator.

  • GarminBudget
    Approach R10

The honest sub-$700 entry point. Outdoor and indoor capable, Garmin's polished software ecosystem.

  • Voice CaddieBudget
    SC4 Pro

A no-subscription radar with a built-in screen and voice distance announcement. Less ambitious than the R10 on sim integration; more honest about being a range tool.

Enclosures

Projectors

  • OptomaBudget
    GT2100HDR

Laser short-throw at $1,099. Brighter and longer-lived than the lamp it replaces.

  • BenQMid-tier
    TK700STi

True 4K with HDR — the cheaper 4K option vs. the laser TK710STi. Still a community favorite when budget caps at $1,500.

  • BenQMid-tier
    AH500ST

0.499 throw, 4,000 lumens, golf-dedicated. The right answer when ceiling depth is the constraint.
