You're probably building a space-constrained simulator if any of these apply.
What matters most
Photometric units sit beside the ball and only need to see impact — they work in rooms as shallow as 10–14 feet. Radar units need 18+ feet of total room depth. If your room is under 16 feet deep, you're buying photometric. Full stop.
Wide enclosures, full-stance hitting platforms, and tower PCs all consume space you don't have. Mini PCs, narrower screens, and integrated launch monitors save floor area.
